The brief
What they asked for, and what we built.
What the client wanted
A mark for a door handle and fittings specialist that would be understood immediately in a crowded trade market, and that works on packaging, a van and a product listing.
- Instantly readable as door hardware
- A two-tone palette that prints cleanly
- A compound name split so both halves are legible
What we did
We drew the product itself, a lever handle on a backplate with the keyhole left as negative space, and split the wordmark in two weights so the compound German name reads as two parts.
- Handle and backplate icon with a negative-space keyhole
- Two-tone wordmark splitting KLINKEN and SCHMIEDE
- Teal and slate palette for print and screen
- Square profile mark sized for social accounts
